Spike Lee Retro: 25th Hour

  • Linwood Dunn Theater 1313 Vine St Los Angeles, CA, 90028

Spike Lee's screen adaptation of David Benioff's brutal and brilliant novel. Produced in the immediate aftermath of 09/11, Lee's film is bathed in blue neon and is in many ways the first major cinematic thought piece on whether American society, culture, whatever will recover. This event also marks the opening of David C. Lee's exhibition, featuring photographs from the films of Spike Lee's films. Spike and David will be in person for this event and the very next evening, Lee will present his most famous work, Do The Right Thing, at the Bing Theater. - SBP
