From Fringe LA series programmer Eugene Kotlyarenko:
FILM CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT: NOT SUITABLE FOR KIDS
Los Angeles, 1970. Take a trip and explore the tiny triumphs and ghastly tribulations of your regular 20th Century heroin addict. In a city filled with palm trees and smog, beautiful, young Southlanders grab baggies from phonebooks, sell their bodies to the night and get their fix. In an immersive pseudo-documentary style scored to the sounds of a solid gold weekend, real-world junkies relive their own facts and fictions, delivering us a Los Angeles micro-hell, hazed out and woozy, found in dirty motel rooms and nodding off on park benches. Through interviews and recreations this underseen gem of post-hippie cinema goes straight for the jugular and is not to be missed!
